Editorial: Conservatives Betrayed In 2012

Who were the fake “conservatives” of 2012?

Who were the so-called “conservatives” that betrayed us, and the American people, in 2012? In some instances they are individuals and a couple of organizations.

When I talk about “real conservatives” I’m talking about the Reagan-type conservatives who support the “three legged stool” of Reaganism: free enterprise, a strong national defense, and pro-family social policies.

Each of the entities in this list broke at least one of the three rules of Reganism. In many instances, they were nothing more than RINO’s (Republicans In Name Only) masqueraded as conservatives.

And here is the bottom line: if you claim to be a “conservative” but you don’t think that talk about abortion, or same-sex marriage or cultural issues has any place in the political discourse, then you’re a fool. And your head is in the sand (or other places). In other words, you’re not a real “conservative” either! Call yourself a Libertarian or a Whig or anything else you want. Just don’t call yourself a “conservative.” Because you’re not.

In light of the shellacking real conservatives took in the 2012 elections, it was easy to create a list of the “conservatives” that betrayed us in 2012. But I’ve limited this list to the most self-aggrandizing, self-centered, narcissistic, fake conservatives that I could find for 2012 and I still had to cut the list down to ten blowhards!

10 – John Boehner (U.S. Rep, Ohio’s 8th district, 1991 – present)
Here is the issue: You can’t spend more than you have. Democrats, RINO’s and socialists don’t care about that. But House Speaker John Boehner continues to betray conservatives because of his concessions to the White House on tax policy and the debt ceiling. He is making those concession supposedly to avoid plunging over the fiscal cliff. But who cares? Bite the bullet.

“John Boehner is about to follow him [Chief Justice John Roberts] into infamy by agreeing to raise taxes in return for an empty bowl of promised spending cuts. I hope Mr. Boehner sees the light, but that now appears remote. He is too intoxicated with dreams of approval from the liberal establishment.

“Embrace Tea party Ideals or face extinction. There is no room for fence sitters. John Boehner won’t you please come home. But if not, please go home. – The Great Betrayal of 2012

I couldn’t have said it any better myself! Just listen to my radio show, SINOradio, and you’ll hear what Reagan Conservatism is all about!

9 – John Roberts (17th and current Chief Justice of the United States)
Speaking of cliffs, let’s not forget Justice John Roberts and Obamacare. Shall we ever? Supreme Court Justice John Roberts sold constitutional conservatives down the river. Period. That will be his legacy to conservatives to the end of time.

I don’t have to sit here pontificate about how Justice Robert’s was a “conservative” that many liked and how what he did was a “hiccup” in the conservative cause. It was more than a spasm of the diaphragm resulting in a rapid, involuntary inhalation that is stopped by the sudden closure of the glottis. By conservative standards, Justice Roberts became the “Benedict Arnold” of constitutional conservatives.

Deservedly so!

8 – Gary Johnson (2012 Libertarian Presidential Nominee and Former Gov of New Mexico)

God-less idiot. How much of a fake “conservative” is Gary Johnnon? From the Huffington Post:

“Gary Johnson, the former Republican governor of New Mexico who became the Libertarian Party presidential nominee this year after a failed GOP presidential bid, believes President Barack Obama will be elected to a second term when all is said and done.

“Johnson’s campaign as a Republican failed to gain traction in 2011, so he dropped out, opting to run as a Libertarian Party candidate.”

Former fake “conservative” Gary Johnson, on Marriage and Civil Unions

“Rick Santorum’s position is unconstitutional. The Constitution requires that all citizens be treated equally and makes no reference to gender in assuring those equal rights… By any fair measure, equal access to marriage for all Americans is a right – guaranteed by the Constitution. Senator Santorum’s claim that legally recognizing gay marriage would be no different than legalizing polygamy, child molestation or bestiality is repugnant and insulting to millions of gay Americans.” January 9, 2012, Press Release: Gov. Gary Johnson Assails Santorum and Obama on Gay Marriage

The secular-humanist fails to see that polygamy, child molestation or bestiality is repugnant and insulting to millions of Christian Americans and repugnant to God. Marriage between a man and woman is not repugnant to God.

7 – John McCain (senior United States Senator from Arizona)
Certainly no friend of tax weary!

“Prominent conservatives are still criticizing McCain for his votes against the Bush tax cuts. McCain defends himself by saying he voted against them because they weren’t offset with reductions in spending. But that’s only part of the story.

“McCain also sponsored, along with Democratic leader Tom Daschle, an amendment to eviscerate the already modest reduction Bush proposed for the top individual tax rate. This was accompanied by rhetoric criticizing tax cuts for the wealthy.” Is John McCain a Conservative?

I have nothing but respect for John McCain’s service for our country during the Viet Nam war! For that, he will always be a hero in my books.

But a “conservative”? Never.

6 – Newt Gingrich (U.S. Rep 1979 – 1999 and Speaker from 1995 to 1999)
I used to like Mr. Gingrich. Yes, I had issues about him that go back years and years. But all in all, he was my second choice for President in 2012. Rick Santorum was the first choice. But then I saw this headline, just a few days ago: “Newt Gingrich urges Republicans to rethink opposition to gay marriage” my political head exploded. How could this convert to Catholicism think such a thing?

“What’s charming about Gingrich is that he did not try to dress up this analysis as a change of heart. His argument, instead, is explicitly political: The public has moved – let’s chase them.”

Sorry Newt, but real conservatives don’t chase immoral behavior, no matter how “trendy” the political concept. Now, you’re just a political whore.

5 – Karl Rove (consultant and policy adviser)
Hate monger Karl Rove is someone conservatives would rather forget in light of his “performance” in the 2012 Presidential elections. Only Ann Couture has more hate and venom running in her veins than Karl Rove. Remember Christine O’Donnell and what Rove had to say about her?

“I just finished watching Karl Rove trashing GOP Senate primary winner Christine O’Donnell. It was on Sean Hannity’s FNC show. Might as well have been Olbermann on MSNBC. The establishment Beltway strategist couldn’t even bother with an obligatory word of congratulations for O’Donnell. He criticized her ‘character’ and ‘rectitude’ and claimed she hadn’t answered questions about her financial woes. She did so here. Rove mocked her security concerns as ‘nutty.’ Yet, her concerns have been more than justified.” – Rove bashes O’Donnell; O’Donnell supporter at victory party strikes back; NRSC cuts and runs; Soros Republican Castle won’t back O’Donnell (Michelle Malkin)

After Todd Akin’s comments regarding “legitimate rape” Rove joked about murdering the Missouri Senate candidate, saying “We should sink Todd Akin. If he’s found mysteriously murdered, don’t look for my whereabouts!” After multiple news outlets picked up on the story, Rove apologized for the remark. Rove’s Crossroads GPS organization had previously pulled its television advertising from Missouri in the wake of the comments.

And let’s not forgot what this WASP, inside-the-beltway, so called “political” expert had to say the night of the election.

Karl Rove mobilized all the resources of the national party organization and co-ordinated the involvement by various SuperPacs against President Obama’s re-election bid. Convinced of a Romney victory, Mr. Rove was part of an occurrence on November 7, 2012 in which he protested Fox News’ election night coverage calling of the 2012 presidential election for Barack Obama, prompting host Megyn Kelly to ask him, “Is this just math that you do as a Republican to make yourself feel better? Or is this real?”

Only two things to say to Karl Rove: “Get real. And get lost.”

4 – Log Cabin Republicans and GOProud
These groups are folks who claim to Republicans and fiscal cooperatives. Frankly, they need serious therapy!

“The Log Cabin Republicans, a gay group that aligns itself with the GOP and espouses conservative fiscal policies while supporting same-sex marriage and an anti-discrimination platform, has endorsed Mitt Romney for president.” – Gay Republican Group Endorses Romney; Frank Calls Group the ‘Uncle Tom’ of the GOP

Even their god-less cronies from the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender) community aren’t buying that “Republican” act:

“Gay Republicans and gay conservatives risk irrelevance if they stick to the notion that ‘being gay is only a small part of who I am’ and then proceed to endorse candidates who are anti-gay in the traditional sense. Being gay is who we are. It tints the way we see the world and how we interact with others. It informs our vote, as well.” – Decision 2012: What Does It Mean for the Gay Republican?

3 – Christopher J. Christie (Gov of New Jersey)
Can you say “ambitious and self-absorbed”?

“His lavish praise for Mr. Obama, delivered in the last days of the presidential race, represented the most dramatic development in the campaign’s final stretch. Right or wrong, conventional wisdom in the party holds that it influenced the outcome.” N.Y. Times

That says it all!

2 – Mitt Romney (70th Gov of Mass and Republican nominee for President, 2012)
Some folks would even ask why put Romney on this list? After all, he’s not a conservative. Never has been, never will be!

Because he tried to fool folks into thinking he was a conservative. Sure, he had a lot of statements about the Free Enterprise system that sounded good to fiscal conservatives and he even claimed to be Pro-Life! But after that, he was nothing like the great conservative, Ronald Reagan. Some of the most common Twitter hash tags come to mind when thinking of Mr. Romney: #FlipFlop #EtchASketch

Oh, and those remarks on “self deportation” Mitt, way to go you elitist, white bread, stuck up snob! You even made Michelle “Marie Antoinette” Obama sound like good ‘ol folk with that one! “Romney’s Demise May Be Traceable To These Two Words-’Self Deportation’”

And you know what, conservatives already knew what Romney’s son had recently stated: “Mitt Romney Didn’t Want to Be President, Son Claims” – So why the *hell* did you even bother us? We didn’t need the aggravation!

And for all you so-called “conservatives” who supported Mr. Etch-A-Sketch because “he was the only Republican who can win.” You’re all spineless idiots.

1 – Ann Coulter (lawyer, political commentator, author)
And let’s not forget trash talker and lap dog for hire!

While it is widely known that Ann Coulter is Romney’s official lap dog, let’s not forget that she was the original Chris Christie groupie! “Ann Coulter Explains Her Initial Support of Christie Over Romney: ‘Briefly I Admit I Ran Off With a Biker’”

She has been called “The right-wing Judy Garland” by Slate Magazine and has managed to offend just about everybody. She is the epitome of hate mongering. She has mocked Latino immigrants, member of the “special needs” community and just about everyone disdains that isn’t white, rich and bitchy!

“In her latest insult to Latinos, Ann Coulter claims Latinos don’t have the family values which long have been part of Latin American culture.”

“The Republican Party needs to change course or we shall go the way of the Whig Party. Ann Coulter and other Navists who hold themselves out as Republicans even as they ignore the values of the Party of Lincoln, are a huge liability. We will continue to call out Ann Coulter and anyone else who trashes Hispanics or other New Americans in such a shameful manner.” – Ann Coulter and Her Libel of Latino Family Values

A pig-headed, bigoted b***h she is! And if you don’t believe she just suck ups to Romney every chance she gets, check this out. Her own words:

“Mitt Romney was the president we needed right now, and I think it is so sad that we are going to be deprived of his brain power, of his skills in turning companies around, turning the Olympics around, his kindness for being able to push conservative ideas on a country that no longer is interested in conservative ideas. It is interested in handouts.” – “Ann Coulter Laments To Ingraham: If Romney Can’t Win In This Economy, ‘It’s Over. There Is No Hope’”

If there was an award for a person that best represents “How To Betray Conservatives” then Ann “Judy Garland” Coulter would win it, hands down.

“Ann Coulter sounds more and more desperate every day as she fecklessly whines like a liberal would about Governor Mitt Romney. This is the same Ann Coulter who has been documented as dating liberals while lying about it on TV. People like this fail to comprehend the real reasons Obama won because she’s desperate to regain respect by conservatives and independents who rightfully trashed Coulter. Protecting Romney’s reputation isn’t the same thing as someone desperate to prove something that isn’t believable.” – Ann Coulter is still wrong about Mitt Romney & trashing Reagan again

In closing, I ask this simple question:

Where do so-called “conservative” politicians get the idea that people vote out of self-interest, rather than in the interests of their country? There is only one reason why they make that assumption. And that reason is that is how they make their own choices. And that is a reason why they are not “conservatives” in my books.
